
BUP students conference

From May 28th to June 1st of 2018 the Zittau / Görlitz University hosted the Baltic University Program (BUP) Students Conference „Innovation for Sustainability: Energy and Resource Efficiency in Production and Transportation“. 80 students from 14 countries participated.
As part of the event, theoretical and practical insights into sustainability innovations, the carbon bubble, new advances in the circular economy, as well as energy storage and electromobility were presented and discussed. There were lectures, discussions and workshops by professors and lecturers from science and research and an excursion to the VW Gläserne Manufaktur and the Transport Museum in Dresden.
The main themes of the BUP are Sustainable Development, Environmental Protection and Democracy in the Baltic Sea region. Regular student conferences and summer schools as well as advanced training for teachers are organized on these topics.
