The special issue "Higher Education Institutions and Sustainable Development – Implementing a Whole-Institution Approach" has been released in the open access journal "Sustainability" from August 2019 to April 2020. Main theme of the special issue was sustainable university development in sense of a “whole-institution approach”. Meaning the transdisciplinary implementation of sustainability throughout all levels of a University. The focus of the special issue was on sustainability reporting, sustainable governance and transfer for sustainable development at HEIs. Seven of the 13 papers contained in the Special Issue present key findings from various work packages of the HOCHN project. See also our news article for the completion of the special issue: here.
