
IASS Fellow Programme: Call for Applications for 2021

The Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies e. V. (IASS) is an international, inter- and transdisciplinary research institute located in Potsdam. It is financed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Federal State of Brandenburg. Each year, up to 30 individuals from around the world participate in the institute’s Fellow Programme. The call for applications for Fellowships starting in 2021 has now been published!
Applications should be related to one of the current research areas of the IASS:
- Perception, values, orientation
- Democratic transformations
- Governance for the environment and society
- Systemic interdependencies: technology, nature, society
- Energy systems and societal change
- Forums: science, policy and society
Fellowships are open to individuals at all career stages and may be combined with sabbaticals. The IASS strongly encourages experts with a strong interest in sustainability and societal transformation to apply for this programme. Applicants can come from a wide range of sectors such as science, public administration, the private sector, civil society, media or the arts.
The minimum duration of fellowships is three months, and the maximum duration is twelve months. The intended starting period for fellowships is Spring/Summer 2021.
The deadline for applications is August 23.
