Open access articel “Academia in the Time of COVID-19: Towards an Ethics of Care” published
“Covid-19 is having dramatic consequences for millions of people’s work-life balance, and academics are no exception.” With this sentence the blog post “Academia in the Time of Covid-19: Our Chance to Develop an Ethics of Care” of the Barcelona Lab for Urban Environmental Justice and Sustainability begins. Interested readers had the opportunity to expand the views and ideas expressed in the article and to sign a “Global Manifesto on Academic Praxis during and after Covid-19” via an onlin form. There are more than 800 signatories so far.
Based on the expressed insights and comments, the authors were able to re-write and extend the gathered views in an open access article, entitled “Academia in the Time of COVID-19: Towards an Ethics of Care”, published in the journal Planning Theory and Practice. You can find the article here.
