
Conference on the World Action Program Education for Sustainable Development on November 15, 2017 in Hamburg

The third conference on the implementation of the World Action Program (WAP) Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung (BNE) will be held at Yu Garden, Hamburg on November 15, 2017. It is organized by the Hamburg Department of Environment and Energy and the initiative "Hamburg lernt Nachhaltigkeit".
The main topic of this year's conference is the Master plan Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung (BNE) in Hamburg. It is currently being prepared in six working groups by Hamburg representatives on the basis of the areas of early childhood education, school, vocational training, higher education, extracurricular education and on district level. First results are presented and can be discussed. Interested parties are expressly welcome to participate in the process. In addition, there will be a guest lecture on the opportunities and risks of digitalisation of the BNE Master plan.
The working group of the initiative "Hamburg lernt Nachhaltigkeit" led by Dr. Claudia Schmitt from the Kompetenzzentrum Nachhaltige Universität (KNU) of the Universität Hamburg, and Norbert König from the Hamburg Department of Science, Research and Equality, is is currently working on a Senate draft for anchoring BNE at Higher Education Insitutions.
